    8 Tips for Healthier Skin

    How much attention do you give your skin? As the largest organ on your entire body, it is worthy of love and care. Although some cleansing products can be expensive, there are many ways to achieve healthier skin without breaking the bank. If you want to be well on your way to a healthier glow, consider implementing some of these skincare tips into your daily routine.

    1. Avoid Using Too Many Products

    With so many skincare products on the market, it can be easy to accumulate more than you need. Nonetheless, you should never try to use them all at once. Instead, stick to a routine for several weeks without making major changes. At the same time, avoid using too many products because doing so can be harsh on the skin and lead to clogged pores and breakouts.

    2. Read the Ingredients

    Choosing the right products for your skin is essential if you want to make the most out of your purchase. For this reason, you should always read the ingredients before deciding. This tip applies whether you are shopping for a new cleanser, face serum or any other skincare product. To maintain normal skin, look for high-performance products such as those at USANA which can support healthy-looking, glowing skin.

    3. Use Sun Protection

    Spending time in the sun can have numerous benefits. From optimizing your mood and increasing Vitamin D levels to reducing occasional stress, there are many aspects to appreciate.

    On the other hand, however, overexposure to sunlight can be detrimental to your skin’s health by causing age spots, wrinkles or uneven complexion. As such, you should always use sunscreen with at least SPF 30-50.

    4. Stay Hydrated

    How much water do you drink every day? Does your skin ever feel dry? If you want healthier skin, staying hydrated is another must. This applies to both inside and outside of the body. At a minimum, adults should drink at least eight glasses of water a day. For keeping the outer part of your skin hydrated, choose products that specifically contain hydrating formulas.

    5. Cleanse Face Twice Daily

    Throughout the day and night, the skin on your face can become susceptible to debris, makeup and various oils. Because of this, you should make cleansing your face twice daily a regular part of your routine.

    Ideally, you should use two cleansers. Doing this can help you dig deeper into your pores without overexposing your skin to the same products.

    6. Get Enough Sleep

    Quality rest is essential to the body’s overall wellness. If you are not getting enough sleep every night, your skin may also be suffering. In past skincare studies, people who slept between seven and nine hours a night had more moisturized skin that could protect and repair itself better during UV exposure than people who got less than five hours of sleep.

    7. Choose Healthy Food

    Another way to support health-looking skin is by maintaining a healthier diet. By choosing healthy foods such as fruit, vegetables, whole grains, fatty fish, nuts and legumes, you can support your skin’s overall nourishment from the inside out. Reducing your consumption of ultra-processed foods can also help decrease skin inflammation and irritation as well as breakouts.

    8. Exfoliate Regularly

    If you want your skin to look and feel better, exfoliation can help. Every day, your skin naturally sheds dead cells. When it does, new skin cells develop. To help keep your skin soft and smooth by buffing and removing old cells, exfoliate your face and the rest of your body at least twice a week. Try different exfoliators and methods to meet the sensitivity needs of your skin.

    Your skin plays a major role in the overall function and wellness of your body. As such, you should always try to take care of it as best as you can. This week, try implementing some of these tips into your daily routine.
