IIM, Ahmedabad has decided to release the admit card for CAT 2021 on October 27. The premier management institution will be conducting the CAT exam on November 28, 2021.
So, those students who want to appear for the exam must download and carry the admit card to the exam center without fail.
CAT 2021 admit card
The CAT admit card is your ticket to writing the CAT exam, and if you fail to carry it with you to the examination center, you won’t be allowed inside.
All the CAT admit cards will have the following details: applicant’s name, application number, applicant’s date of birth and category, the date, time, and venue of the examination, the reporting time, the time at which the gates close, and the city where the examination is taking place. Besides this, the CAT admit card also consists of the applicant’s signature and photograph, along with other details, such as an emergency contact number.
How to download the CAT admit card?
The CAT Admit Card will be available for download on October 27, 2021, at 5 PM. Downloading the admit card is easy, thanks to the changes made to the official website. However, it is still vital that you download the admit card as soon as possible to avoid any technical problems.
While you can download the admit card in two easy steps, you will still need other actions that enable you to get your credentials and log in to the website. So, here is how to download the CAT admit card.
- You can now log in directly at ‘Admit Card’ and don’t need to visit the official website.
- Find and click on the ‘Admit Card’ icon.
- A window will open, showing a CAT admit card with your information printed on it.
- Click the PDF icon to download and take a printout of the admit card.
Ensure that you paste a photograph on the admit card in the space provided. Note that the photograph you paste should be the same as what you uploaded when filling the application form.
Important things to note
CAT 2021 will consist of three sessions: morning, afternoon, and evening.
When going to the exam center, make sure you wear easy-removable footwear, do not carry pencils, pens, sharpeners, watches, and mobile phones. Also, you shouldn’t take any other documents except the admit card and valid photo identity.
As a candidate appearing for the CAT exam, you should ensure that you go through and understand the video on the official website that tells you about the security and other procedures followed on the day.
Problems downloading the admit card
Suppose you face issues when downloading the admit cards, such as a forgotten user id or password, a slow internet connection, or other browser-related problems, or discrepancies. In that case, you needn’t worry as you can follow these steps to sort them out.
For example, if you have forgotten your user id or password, you can do the following.
- Click on the ‘Forgot User ID or Password’ from the login tab.
- Enter your email address.
- Then, click on ‘Get User ID/Password.
You will get your new user ID or password at the email address that you provided during registration.
Be sure to reach the center at least one and a half hours before the exam commences. Also, note that you cannot take a break during the exam and must continuously write until you finish the paper. Remember to go through the video that you find on the official website. It will help you get to know the procedures better and how to comply with them.
